An analysis of Trump’s energy and environment record shows a generally strong commitment to limited government principles. As President, Trump took countless actions via executive order and agency rules to increase domestic energy production and remove unnecessary regulatory barriers. But while Trump’s energy production record is stellar, he did sign a couple major bills which further grew the federal government’s already enormous land conservation holdings at the expense of the private sector and also banned off-shore drilling.
