Recipients must also provide a weekly report detailing the actions taken. The bill also requires the Department of Economic Security to cross-check claims weekly against multiple data sources. Finally, employers are required to report previous employees for actions, such as refusing to return to work or failing to appear for a scheduled interview. Support is the Limited Government Position as combatting fraud within the state's unemployment insurance system is critical to maintaining low payroll taxes for businesses, which are forced to pay into the system.
