This bill accelerates the timeline that a public utility must construct an off-shore wind facility from 2034 to 2032. Additionally, the State Corporation Commission (SCC) must account for the projects "positive economic impacts and workforce development" when reviewing requests for cost recovery by a utility. Oppose is the Limited Government Position as this bill unnecessarily hikes the costs of electricity for families and businesses in Virginia.
