Finally, the bill increases the mandatory minimum sentence for offenders from 1 year to 2 years, and the maximum sentence from 10 years to 20 years. This bill exempts individuals who provide "shampooing or blow-dry styling" services from the state's cosmetology and barber licensing requirements. This includes services such as drying and styling hair, without using flat or curling irons. The bill also removes restrictions on cosmetics that can be applied without a license. This bill prohibits the use of "electronic smoking devices" or "vaping" in public by adding their use to the definition of "smoking" under the Georgia Smokefree Air Act of 2005. That act prohibited smoking indoors in public spaces, government buildings, and places of employment.
