Additionally, companies may not provide personal contact information of employees to a labor union without the employees' consent. Companies also may not require subcontractors to violate either of the requirements. If a company violates these provisions, any economic development incentives must be repaid. Under the bill, the unemployment assessment is reduced from 2.7% to 2.64% through December 31, 2026. Support is the Limited Government Position as this bill provides some tax relief to employers. Ultimately however, the unemployment system should be fully privatized with businesses and employees deciding whether they wish to provide and receive such coverage.
