Most notably, the bill strengthens storage requirements for absentee ballots and requires absentee ballots received by the Monday before the election to be counted and the results posted on election day. Additionally, the bill prohibits members of the State Board of Elections, Secretary of State, local election officials, and their employees from doing business with a company that also has a state or local contract to provide voting equipment or services. This bill expands and extends the "preceptorship training" income tax credit, granted to medical professionals who provide training for medical students.
